John Marcello has over 37 years' of experience in retail food protection. His background includes both a regulatory and industry perspective on food safety issues.  For the past 17 years, he has served as Pacific Region Retail Food Specialist for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. He serves on FDA's National Retail Food Steering Committee responsible for developing, recommending, and implementing the Agency's strategic plan, policies, and work planning related to retail food safety.
